Delivery and returns
In plain language — how a book reaches you, and how you get your money back

How a book reaches you
Printed books go out by courier from Kolkata. That is usually 3–5 working days to a metro city and 5–10 days elsewhere. You are notified the moment a book is dispatched, and every step is shown on your orders page.
With an ebook there is nothing to wait for — it opens in your library to read the moment you buy it.
What delivery costs
You see the delivery charge before you confirm the order — it is stated plainly at checkout. There are no hidden costs; what you see is what you pay.
How you pay
In India there are two ways to pay: online (UPI, card, netbanking) or cash on delivery, meaning you pay when the book is in your hands. Choose whichever suits you at checkout.
With cash on delivery the order is confirmed straight away; you pay at the door, once you have the book and have looked at it.
Online payment in Bangladesh (bKash, Nagad, card) is being set up — we will say so here the moment it opens.
Refunds
A printed book can be returned within 14 days of delivery, as long as it is undamaged. An ebook can be returned within 7 days of purchase, provided it has not been downloaded or read.
The refund goes back the way you paid — usually within 5–7 working days of the request being accepted.
If a book arrives damaged or wrong
If the book that reaches you is torn, wet or simply the wrong one, photograph it and tell us within 48 hours — we will replace it or refund you in full. The cost of sending it back is ours in that case.
