By using Lilavati's FairBengal you agree to these terms. Lilavati's FairBengal is an online literary platform for buying and selling Bengali books, reading ebooks, discussing literature and taking part in the community. These terms apply to everyone who uses the platform — readers, publishers and writers alike.

Keeping your account secure is your responsibility. The information you give when you register must be accurate and kept up to date. Misusing the platform, harassing other users, spamming, or any unlawful activity is forbidden, and breaking these rules may lead to an account being suspended or closed.

Anything you write here — reviews, essays, reading lists — must be your own. Publishing someone else's writing under your own name is a copyright infringement and is punishable. Hate speech, communal incitement, obscenity and personal attacks may not be published. The moderation team may remove content of that kind.

All intellectual property in the books published on the platform belongs to the publishers and authors concerned. You keep the rights in anything you write, but you grant Lilavati's FairBengal a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it on the platform. An ebook you buy is yours to read; redistributing it or using it commercially is not permitted.

All payments are processed through secure payment gateways. Prices are set in Indian rupees (₹) for users in India and in Bangladeshi taka (৳) for users in Bangladesh. A digital book may be returned within 7 days of purchase, provided it has not been downloaded or read. A printed book may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided it is undamaged.

Lilavati's FairBengal operates as a marketplace and acts as a bridge between publishers and readers. Lilavati's FairBengal is not directly responsible for the content, quality or accuracy of the books that publishers list. Our liability for any indirect loss arising from use of the platform is limited.

Lilavati's FairBengal may change these terms at any time. Users will be told about significant changes by email or by a notification on the platform. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you are taken to have accepted the updated terms.
