Anyaprokash was started in February 1997 by Mazharul Islam, a year after he launched the fortnightly magazine Anyadin. It set out to raise the standard of printing and selling creative books in Bangladesh.
Its name is tied to Humayun Ahmed. For more than a decade it published almost all of his new books, and its list holds 116 of his original works and collections: the Himu and Misir Ali novels, the 1971 novel Jochhna O Jononir Golpo, Badshah Namdar about the Mughal emperor Humayun, and his last novel, Deyal, published in 2013 after his death. It also publishes many other Bangladeshi writers, more than a thousand titles in all.
Its head office is on Green Road, Panthapath, with a sales centre in Banglabazar. It is still publishing.
Its books are published in Dhaka. Ask the desk, and we will tell you what we can find.
