"ভূতের রাজা দিল বর" বিষয়টি মূলত বিখ্যাত চলচ্চিত্রকার সত্যজিৎ রায়-এর কালজয়ী চলচ্চিত্র 'গুপী গাইন বাঘা বাইন' (১৯৬৯)-এর একটি বিখ্যাত গান। সত্যজিৎ রায়ের পরিচালিত 'গুপী গাইন বাঘা বাইন' ছবিতে গুপী ও বাঘা যখন রাজা বন থেকে বিতাড়িত হয়ে ভূতের রাজার দেখা পায়, তখন এই আইকনিক গানটি ও দৃশ্যটি আসে। ভূতের রাজা গুপী ও বাঘাকে তিনটি বর (জবর জবর তিন বর) দিয়েছিলেন—তালি বাজিয়ে খাবার পাওয়া, যেখানে খুশি যাওয়া এবং জাদুকরি জুতো। এই পুরো ধারণাটি বাঙালি সংস্কৃতিতে এক দারুণ নস্টালজিয়া ও রূপকথার আমেজ তৈরি করে।
